Takashi Matsunaga attended the 68th Annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles on February 1, 2026.

Top Note Bass Theory, a new music theory book devised by Takashi Matsunaga, has been acquired by the library of The Juilliard School.

At the 62nd Galaxy Awards Ceremony, the work for which Takashi Matsunaga served as the theme music composer — the Kansai commercial broadcasters and NHK collaborative project marking the 30th anniversary of the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, titled “Protect What Matters, and Pass It On” — received the Grand Prize in the Journalism and Reporting Category.
